Went down to Thomas' Eddy to see if any fish were were rolling. I did see one jump while I was there, wonder what it was? Looked silver. It looked pretty big. I looked in the water and I saw a lot of salmon fry, sculpins, crayfish, and a small silver fish with a forked tail. It reminded me of a whitefish. Anyways, my main reason I was there was to find lures. I saw a couple pink jigs, some pink corks and yarn, and a spin and glow. What I came home with was a frog colored dick nite,a 3/4 oz ball sinker, and a 3/4 oz egg sinker. The river looks to be in good shape, nice green water, relatively slow current, and the the island in front of Thomas' Eddy seems to be mostly above water. The river isn't in "August shape", though.
Tight Lines.
