With everything being a little spread out and slow right now, I havent really been fishing one place in particular. Had a good few weeks up on the skagit fishing for Bull Trout on the fly, picked up some summer steelhead and sockeye doing this as well. Even caught the odd chinook as well. Also did some trips for steelhead down south, low water doesnt make it easy but getting into something, especially early in the morning hasnt been too hard.
As many of you know, i spend a lot of time fishing with friends and family on Vancouver Island in the summer. I will not be running too many trip in August. If you want to get on the skagit in my boat for Pinks, email me, i might have a few days inbetween canada trips that i can get out in August.
However, once late August and the beginning of September rolls around, I will be fishing Hard for fall chinook and coho. Expected run of chinook is as good or better than last year, and coho is going to be VERY strong with almost 3x as many fish expected to return to the skagit as last year, and if you came with me last year, you know it definetely was not a slow year. Going to be nuts this year! Give me a call if you want to get out for some awesome chinook/coho/pink combo trips starting in September!
