Well, the opener for the Snohomish came and went, and I didn't expect much, but pre-fished it anyway to see. I personally didn't catch anything, but was pleasantly surprised at the amount of fish that were present so far. There were some rollers, and a fair number of fish were caught, not a lot but considering how early it is, it's pretty great.
Launched at Lowell and drifted up with the tide and back down, made a pleasant trip. Trolled plugs, bait, twitched jigs and threw spinners. A little of this, a little of that.
Keeping that in mind, in two weeks, the fish will be in, if it's anything like the last pink year. Four star days started around the 13th by my book. I'll be running trips in the lower Snohomish for pinks, and I'm already booking, so give me an email. My pink trips are 250 for up to 3 anglers, I'll run singles for 175, and we'll catch some fish! A lot of them. So let's get you off the bank and on some massive numbers of fish, because they're going to be here soon!
