Friday, Woke up too late to hit the tide change off Picnic Point, so I thought I'd give the lower Snohomish a try...even though I know I'm at least two weeks too early. After a thorough August soaking, I decided to drop my anchor and wait for the incoming tide change. Note too self....don't used cheap carabiners to secure your anchor float. Lost everything but the float . I was forced to drift and jig after that. I hadn't seen any rollers or jumpers the first 2 hours. After about 5 minutes of floating, I hear a splash behind me. Tossed my jig up river in the direction of the sound and wound up with a nice buck. Nothing after that.
