This is my first report on this site, although I have been a WALakes member for a couple of years and have been reading reports here for about a decade. Thanks for all of the great info over the years. Now its my turn.
I went to the Skagit yesterday and sat on the beach just below the boat launch at Edgewater park for a couple of hours, plunking sand shrimp with a pink/silver wing bobber and some Mike's Glo-Scent shrimp oil. Didn't see anything at all. Tried jigging as well. The nice gentleman I was plunking next to had caught a couple from that spot the day before and said they both came between 4:30 and 5:30 PM.
Before I fished, I was scoping out different holes and saw a guy hook up down on the north fork but he lost it right away. Stopped at the spud bar and watched a guy pull a chromer onto the bank.
I'm gonna try again tonight. See you out there!
