wow this season has been crazy good for me so far, lots of fish since the opening just gotta know where to go and I have been up and down the system, 101, 106, mouth, purdy creek, stump hole, piling drift, minter creek slot, cedar hole amd clay banks and all have produced fish, 72 hook ups to be exact lol but only landed 24 and half either native or foul hooked. Mainly eggs in the mornings and later parts of the day then corky/yarn or beads once it gets light out. one thing I have noticed that the fish are much larger this year, I have hooked more 20+lbers this year than all years combined with rumors of 30+lbers as well being caught but of course those are few and far between. Not much fishing left but I will be there til it closes then roll right into my next favorite fishery for august salmon. see ya out there and good luck!

I'm pretty sure I was fishing the same hole as you one of those days I was out there on opening weekend. Not 100% sure though.

well if you recognized me chasing my fish down river over and over and over again it was probably me, I fish that hole on the weekends, I will be there this weekend too so maybe see you out there or something.

Nice report! I've been up and down the system as well, except for the clay banks and meat hole. Thanks for the details, nice fish

I won't be back to the Skok this year. This weekend I'll be camping in Sequim. Probably throw a buzz bomb off the beach somewhere there for Pinks and Silvers. Good luck down there Brat!

not going back? oh well more for me haha. and thanks woady, the fish will be more spread out here soon but below Purdy creek there will be more hatcheries but never count out above, they tend to stray a lot.
