Went fishing out at Thomas Eddy this morning. Had 3 on the line but lost all of them :( But the guys next to me cought a total of 10 on just 3/8 maribou jigs. Bouncing off the bottom. So pink is still the color, you just have to twitch it just right.
I managed to talk my wife into letting me go back out, and right before I left I caught this nice buck real close to the shore, about 10 feet. This one got beat up by the rock when I was realing it in. still had sea lice tho. caught it with a 3/8 maribou jig. Also I was wondering what is the best way to season and bake the salmon in the oven? I need to get the smoker but I want to bake some steaks tonight. I know most of you catch and release or use as bait for crab. I just need a simple way to make these fish taste good. I do bleed them out right away then gut them and put them on ice. Thanks guys! Stay safe and fish on!

one quick recipe is season your fillets with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cut a few small pieces of butter and then sprinkle the top with brown sugar. Its very good on these pinks.

Or you could do 1/2 cup of soy sauce with a table spoon or a bit more of brown sugar. Add minced garlic, and ginger. Stir up till its nice and creamy then apply on fillets letting them marinate for about an hour. Then grill those bad boys or bake em, how ever you perfer, and there you have it. Hope that helps.

I like to use a little bit of olive oil, just a few drops and use your hand to spread it over the fillet, then I keep the recipe simple with just some lemon pepper and johnny's. Be careful not to overcook.
