Just got back from fishing Banks Lake for Chinook with no luck. So i knew today would be better. I always do good in the Snohomish River. Launched at Lowell around 8:00 went up river to my fishing spot 8:10. Didn't see any fish rolling for a good part of the day. A school came in around 9:30 and I started catching fish. I ended up with two then it started to die down. Another school came by around 11:00 I ended up catching another fish. Then everything stopped till 12:30. I caught my last fish and lost it on the stringer. Ended up calling it a day at 1:00. I ended up with 3 and lost 8. Had a good time catching fish. Really enjoy fishing the pinks on my light wait pole. These fish have fight. Who knows the day isn't done you might just find me on the Skykomish River trying for my last fish of the day. On the way home I stopped and the first person I saw had a fish on.

Enjoy
I'm on my way to hop over homeless people to fish the cracker bar in Sultan.

Fishing Banks Lake for Chinook? Never heard of them being in there, but I am senile.

They just started putting the Chinook into Banks Lake last year. You don't need a salmon punch card and you could catch 5 a day.

Yup, the state released something like 100,000 chinook fry around 4 years ago into banks. They are 6-8 pound eating machines now. I caught some in july while fishing for walleye.
