Ugh. Fished the mouth of the Samish for 6 hours. What a crapfest. People, here's what you can look forward to if fishing the Samish mouth:
Paying $5/20 to access
Horrible mud
Groups of grown men hovering over tiny slots where the fish live
No shade
Went upriver later in the day. Found a couple fish, then this dude with a snagging rig I've never seen before came is and yanked 2 fish, clearing the hole.
If anybody knows how I can get to the paid private access (other than paying a guide), please PM me. I know certain folks on the river offer paid access.
