Finally! After countless trips to the Snoho I ended up being the guy that caught fish! I was beginning to think that this was gonna be a really bad humpy run for me. I caught three and lost seven. Fish seemed to be biting really light and were spitting the hooks after just a couple of head shakes. I had one buck that did not want to come to the bank. Every time I got him close he would make another run and then "poof" he was gone. Just as I was getting ready to make another cast I thought, "I'd better check this jig", and sure enough, that fish had straightened the hook out. At least it fought a noble fight against a worthy opponent before giving up the ghost.

Caught two on a pink hootchie jig and one on a buzz bomb. Decided to call it a day and gave my spot to a nice couple that were looking for a spot to fish from.

The best part was, I finally got the skunk off of the Fenwick HMX rod that I bought at the Sportsman's show back in January and I'm happy to say that it did quite well for its self.

Thanks BentRod! I'm hoping to catch a few more!

To answer you question, dshack1976, I fish along Lowell Rd and if you've ever driven along there, you'll know that fishing spots can be hard to come by, especially at high tide as the banks are all steep. But if you don't mind a little hike along the top of the river bank, you can usually find an open spot or two . . . usually. I always wear hip boots cuz as the tide is going out, you can often get out away from the overhead branches. Just be careful cuz that river mud can be REALLY soft in spots. I've gotten a boot or two stuck on several occasions! The boots also help fend off all the brambles and thorns.

Good fishing!
