Well, went Pumpkinseed fishing with my daughter (a little over 2). She loved looking at them in the bucket. Worm and bobber seemed to work OK, but not anything special. Anybody in the Federal Way area catching Crappie or Bluegills in numbers without a boat? Maybe even Perch? The Pumpkinseeds were a few inches long, beautiful to look at, but not beautiful fighters :) A little too small for that. It was fun for us, and "Mom" (my wife) even put up with chasing Mya (daughter) around in between fish. Wish we coulda done a little better though. Caught maybe 10 Pumpkinseeds and a couple perch in two hours. Nearly landed a decent bass when I was fishing for the Pumpkinseeds! It threw the little hook a couple feet from shore. Ack. Probably about 15". No trout at all with bobber and worm. Good luck to all! This is a great reference and source of vicarious inspiration for those of us that can't fish as much as we'd like! Can't wait 'til Mya turns 4 and can sit still long enough to catch a fish herself:)... Than again, she's pretty cool at 2 right now.
