Ok so due to really crappy cell service my internet is severely limited, even being less than a mile from my providers nearest tower.

That said, this report is for the last couple weeks on the puke.

8 trips out, and 23 fish punched on my card. Only one day did I have a tough time of it, and that was my first trip out, learning how to drift fish out there. As others have stated, it has been lights out, and while some will say its snaggimg or flossing, I've only netted 5 or so fish in the last couple weeks that were NOT hooked in the mouth, and most of the fish I've caught were hooked in the front upper jaw. Say what you will, but my freezer is full of eggs, and my friends and family are getting fat on smoked salmon.

Wednesday, the 5th, was incredible. 24 fish into the net in less than an hour, and at least that many that spit the hook. One in particlar, a rather nice native king, that try as I might, he just wasnt going into that tiny little net I bought for pinks I was hoping to unhook him safely but he finally broke the line at the hook.. a fun 15 minute battle and I ended up happy but unsuccessful.

Several times i fought fish, only to lose them and hook another one in the same drift. I even pulled in a small hen yesterday morning by hand. My line got knotted on the tip of the pole, so I cut it and tried to bring it in. Felt like it was dragging bottom, but five feet from me it started tugging back.

That was my 4th fish for the day, and a rather strange way to fill my limit, but I cant complain, especially seeing the look on the guys face next to me who got to witness it. "First time for everything" he said, laughing at/with me.
