Got to the river early with a family member. The tide was in and the water color to say the least was horrible. Looked like chocolate milk. Was really surprised by that, Thought the overnight weather would clear the river a little. Hung around until the flow got down to a manageable level. Went to my usual place and began to fish. Made allot of casts with nothing to show for it. Changed tactics and used some different gear that I've not really used much in the green. Once I did that, I quickly got a take down. Lost it. On the next cast I threw back to the same spot, and hooked it again. fought it for 30-seconds and lost it again. About 15-mins later hooked a decent sized pink, He had seen better days, so quickly released him back. fished for another 1/2 hour and finally got another take down. after some aerial jumps finally got the fish to the bank, and it was a average sized female silver. Called it a day, after that hook up as I had been fishing from 9:30 and did not beach the silver until 1:00pm all in all not to bad a day. Had to work really hard to get some action. The water color is making the fishing tough.!!
