After stopping by the Duwamish on Sunday before the ball game and watching schools and schools of fishing heading up river, was anxious to get out and throw something at them today while working or after work. Unfortunately I was too busy to get the line wet until after 5pm so stopped by the upper green and saw tons of fish splashing around but also tons of people so made my way down river until I found a spot a bit more void of pressure.

Put on my rubber boots over my work pants and headed down to the bank to throw something at the throngs of fish moving through. Started out with a 50/50 dick nite but lost it on a snag so put on another white/pink and got the hung up on someone's line that was out there on a snag. So finally tied on a purple and black yarn with a black soft bead and started casting up river and let it drift down; just as I was pulling it out for another cast I get a vicious take down and it's fish on! This guy leaps into the air and put on quite an acrobatic performance making 3 or 4 jumps before trying to run down steam! I thought I had hooked a king and did not want to get spooled this time so tried to keep him close but it ran out into the middle and got hung up on snag out there and I figured once again I was going to lose this one. But miraculously he just sat there and then a school of pinks came by and spooked him so he ran upstream and got off the snag! Lucky! so now I had him pretty worn out and was able to get him to the bank and was surprised to see it was a big buck pink! Pretty fun stuff and not a bad way to end my work day!! Gotta love the Pacific Northwest, huh? Now got to get the Tin cup out on the salt and chase some silvers soon!
