We went out on Sunday and Friday, Melanie thought she had a hit on an in line flasher and spinner. I have had no luck on hits.We talk to a lot of folks , most have not caught any fish yet, those that have have caught mainly jacks The season last year opened on Sept. 15th, this year it opened on the 1st, thank the state for giving us two weeks of useless effort, the fish are not in the river in numbers yet.The tribe and commies will net the p*** out of that river after Oct. 1st, we may try the harbor past the 101 bridge after the 16th, season opens out there but weather has to be flat for us in a small boat. Colder weather would help, some have said the fish like the water to be 60 degrees or less to hit the river, we'll see. Thank Phil Anderson (head of wdfw comission that sets harvest deals to strongly favor commies) for another backstabbing to recreational folks in Willipa Bay and Chehalis river fisheries.That guy is a real piece of work! THANK YOU BOB, Always good to hear a report from you and the wife.Your info. is always helpful. I fish friends landing a few times a year, love the river and have caught a few sturgeon out of Quigg. But this time of year I really get pumped on the size of the hooknose in the Chehalis. Wish I could hook a few more then I do. Seems im a day late most time. Thanks again for all yer good reports, looking forward to seeing more of your and yer wifes photos.
