I bout my first spey rod last night so I was itching to take it out and swing some streamers. Got to the Tualco Loop spot at 4pm and noticed the ever was swollen about 1.5 feet from where it was a few days ago from all the recent rain, but the fish were jumping everywhere so I set up and began to cast o them. I was fishing a 10ft fast sink tip in a pretty deep hole with fairly swift current. I tried a couple flies unsuccessfully before finding that a pink clouser minnow as what they wanted. From then on, I was getting hook ups every 10 min or so. Hooked one in the hump so that was a bit of a struggle to bring in. All others were hooked in the mouth. Also hooked into a bright coho, but it wrapped around a log jam and broke off. Ended up bringing 4 humpy bucks to hand and turned them all loose. Lots of fun packed into 2 hours of fishing and the new spey rod was a blast!
