Well things slowed down quite a bit compared to yesterday. I got to the river at about 430. The water was a bit higher than it was yesterday which pushed the fish even closer to the bank than yesterday and a bit less vis. It was almost funny, it was like the fish didnt know where to jump and were almost landing in the bushes. (woulda been a five star day had that been the case) I have to figure out how to drift eggs along the bank at your feet or cast to the abnormally distant, far bank with eggs on.
There werent nearly as many jumping tonight. I wondered if that is due to the nets, then I wondered how many fish were being stopped by the nets if its a noticeable difference a little over 24 hours after they went in. I did see some large chrome slabs come and flip me the middle fin though.
I talked with a couple other guys and all said it was slow. The homeless guy (his admission not my assumption) that came by to bum a smoke said they were all limited out down by the bridge but couldnt tell me what bridge, type of fish or method. He also said the gamy was an asshole because he kicked him off the river for a year for fishing with 13 hooks on one line. I couldnt help but letting out a great belly laugh, It just caught me so off guard.
Tight lines
