For me, I rated this a 5 because there isn't a 10! For those of you who read my report for yesterday, you'll find this pretty interesting. Got to my hole on the sky at 11am, I look down at my feet and I see my okuma rod tip wedged between a couple of rocks! I got it back! Unbelievable. So that started this trip off as a win already. To top it off, I twitched a jig and caught 2 female pinks (safely released). And for those of you following my "coho search" for my first of the season...I got one! And what a fish it was! Twitch twitch, WHAM. Figured it would be another humpy but as it got closer I saw chrome, BIG chrome. The fight was short but ferocious. Got her to the net and couldn't help but roar a "Hell Yeah!" I was shaking and sooo excited, and so was the guy next to me. lol. He ran over and after a couple hi fives he snapped a couple of pics for me. Thank you! This was one of the best days of my life. Bonked and bled and I headed for home to clean her up. She weighed 12.9 on my Berkely when I arrived home. Such a beautiful fish!

Thanks BentRod, there really wasn't any silver activity on the surface. This thing just kinda came out of nowhere. Still haven't really "found em". If I do, I'll give you a holler and we should go together? and vise versa. Good luck out there!

Some of my best days last October were when there was no surface action to show that any fish were around. I'm still looking forward to my first Coho this season yet, but I'm confident it will happen if I can just find some more time to get on the water! And if you "find'em" definitely give me a shout out. :)

Congrats! But don't you think it's about time to take off the plastic wrappers on your rod? It's given you a Coho already.
