So my boss was super cool today and let me jet out at about one. The only bad part is I had to run home to grab eggs and my waders traffic was fine heading north but solid heading south 45 min trip cost me two hours. oh well I had fish to catch.
I get there and the fish are all over. Super stoked until the first hour goes by with not even a hit. I started with jigs for a little over an hour, nothing with that so I switched to eggs. ABout a half hour into that and I thought it was ticking on rocks well upon getting it unstuck I realized it was a rather wiggly rock, wait, Fish on! landed the first hen that measured out to 22"
I moved holes and switched back to jigs, I tied up a whole bunch for this weekend and promptly lost about ten tonight. After about an hour of jigs I finally nailed a larger one. I probably looked like I had never caught a fish before as my net was caught up on my float rod, so I did a limbo fish landing dance for a bit until I had another chrome hen on the bank. This one came in at 24"
Why is it that they constantly rise everywhere but where you seem to be.
roughly 4 hours of fishing with only two to show isnt the best day but ill take it for sure!
