I went in search of Coho today after work. I fished from 4-dark at three spots along the open river.
Auburn: Holy people, holy pinks. Fished right off the Auburn/Black Diamond Bridge. Pouring rain, I caught a pink every other cast. They were all ugly and dying. Gave a few kids some pointers. They didn't care what they were catching they were just happy to be catching fish. After 40 min and 15 + pinks I went down river.
Kent: Fished near the golf course. Saw a roller every 20 min or so. I tried jigs, eggs, and blue foxes. Caught one trout with the blue fox. No Coho!
Tukwilla: Fish near BECU with eggs until dark. No take downs.
In conclusion, if you want pinks go to Auburn and I have no idea where the hell the Coho are.
Footnote: I saw that the natives have pulled there nets out early last night. They usually net until Friday not sure what to make of that. Either they caught to many fish or nothing is running.
