Ran down to 112th at lunch. Water was calm and dropping. Started casting a Dick Nite. After a bit it got hung up and broke it off. Had seen one moldy humpy swim by, but nothing jumping. Switched to drifting eggs. Saw one jump, but not much happening on my line. Right before I left I finally had a hit which stuck. To my surprise I pulled in a bright jack King that was all of 16"-17" long. Got it unhooked and sent it on it's way. First King from the Duamish for me....even if it was a jack! Happy to at least have a little excitement. Have made four short trips to the Duamish between Monday and today and that was the first action I saw. Seems like it's been pretty dead all week, at least while I've been there.
