OK, I should rate this higher as I got two Coho to the bank and any day you can do that is not bad day fishing. I rate this one as I had the most Bizarre fishing day dealing with my fellow fishermen.
I got to a hole on the Wallace and there was one other person there, no bad for this popular fishery. Almost right away three of his pals showed up from down the river. After my first hook up I was re baiting my hook when one of these clowns proceeded to walk up to where I was fishing and right in front of me and my gear entered the river. He turned and asked “am I taking your spot” and I said “I’m so used to this I don’t even look at it that way anymore”, I then said “if we all pay attention we can all fish this hole without issue”. Now these folks were new and I always have a certain level of patients with my fellows but what ensued was just bizarre. These guys I think had read something about fishing maybe a fishing report where it talked about casting over other people lines and I believe that they may have misinterpreted what was read. I was nice enough to show these clowns were the fish were holding so they could Catch a fish; the fish were hold in the tail out. So the idea was to all cast out floats out and let them go down the run and into the tail out, no problem right?.....right out of the gate the guys would bring their rigs back in before the tail out and cast again. Over my line and everyone else's line that was running the drift. What was more bizarre was that they would wait for their buddy next to them to cast then they would cast over his line! I swear these guys were told the only proper way to fish was to cast over another fishing line. It was absolutely amazing! Now these guys seemed like nice fellows and when the hooked my line they were very apologetic. I tried to politely educate them buy telling them “that is one of the reasons you don’t cast across others fishing lines as you will get hooked up with each other” I was wasting my breath. I refrained from telling what I really thought. I did get a blush buck and hen that was not too dark so I should be grateful right?

this is just another reason why I hike to unknown spots. Less drama. Congrats to you though for two nice fish!

I agree with djbutler, better to just hike away from the crowd.
