I also saw a row of fish on the bank with the tags removed, stomachs opened, and tails cut off. I assume the work of fish and wildlife... Would be interesting to see the data they collect. 10/16/2013 7:04:00 PMI got to the 18 bridge about 7am and fished until 10 with one strike on a green blue fox, but no takers on my eggs or my dick night. There were probably 10 or so fishing around the same area with no real action I saw. I saw a lot of reds parked downstream from the bridge in the water, but they didn't want anything to do with me today.

10/16/2013 7:45:00 PMThat is a carcass tag. Essentially they're used to mark and recover carcasses on spawning surveys to estimate number of dead chinook that aren't seen.

10/17/2013 9:55:00 AMBut they tag the fish while still alive, correct? I was fishing in Auburn a couple weeks ago and a fish stopped and hovered right in front of me and he had the tags and he was still alive.
