Hiya,
Went out to the sky near monroe yesterday early morning till noon, threw the whole tacklebox at em - drifting/floating eggs, cured prawn, casting spoons, jigs, you name it, nada. While I saw a decent amount of jumping coho of different shades - silver, to just turning, to rosy red, I didn't see anyone else hook up w/ any coho either, just a few humpies here and there.
The river levels seem ideal for drifting, too. Not too high, not too low. Got a handful of humpies, but that was it.
I'm new to fishing in the Pac-NW, having moved from the midwest only a few weeks ago. Got years of experience fishing for salmon/steelies/browns in Lake Michigan and its tributaries, but this is a whole new ballgame. I'm thinking of trying again at the Sky tomorrow morning if anyone else wants a fishing partner for the day. PM me!
Thanks,
David
