Checked a few spots before ultimately settling on the 18 hole to look for some coho. Soon after I got there someone asked "does bobber fishing actually work?" Well 45 minutes later it was bobber down! After a quick battle to get it around the bridge I got it in. At first I thought it was a dark coho but turned out to be a pretty gross hatchery steel, with a parasite hanging out behind the fin. I had to bank it really quick, forgetting to put my pliers in pocket for easy access. once I popped out the hook it swam off. Good to know that they liked my egg cure. After running out of eggs I had one bobber down on a pink worm but that was it for the day. Shout outs to the guy who gave me his skeins.
P.S. : A little ways upriver of the boat launch I found what looked to be a brand spankin new rod and reel It was partially submerged and tangled in some branches just out of reach. Didn't want to risk it so I left it there. It was a black rod and looked like a lamiglas but I couldn't tell for sure
