Fished the same location as yesterday with totally opposite results. One meager bobber bounce and no fish in the boat. I fished solo today and hit the same slots we caught six at yesterday. The hole was still plugged with fish - I know cause they kept jumping and laughing at me. I mainly floated eggs, but also ran a spinner through the spots looking for an aggressive fish. About the only thing I didn't do was get up into the snags and run a plug down. And I'm actually kinda regretting not trying it. My little sled would have eased into a bank slot kind nicely, anchor up, and let out a plug. As I'm typing this up I'm kicking myself for not trying. Oh well, had a fence to repair form the recent Big Blow so I'll use that as an excuse.

Funny how coho can go from willing biters to lockjaw in a day.

I thought I saw you today going through Dougbar. I have not run through elephant graveyard in my boat. Do you run behind the island or run up past cheep skate? I saw several seals near Dougbar and French creek today but I caught and saw no fish. Wondering if seals would hang around with no apparent fish down there or if there are fish but not biting.

I'm not familiar with "elephant graveyard" or "cheep skate". Sorry, gotta give me more info. approaching Doug Bar I hug the pilings and then normally run to the left and along across from the Doug Bar plunkers, but Brianna showed me the way to stay right (I guess that would be the island you're talking about?) and when you come out you're above Doug Bar. Personally I enjoy running the little slot across from the Doug Bar plunkers, but going right the "long way" around does seem safer.

I'm talking about the area just above Dougbar. You can hug the bank above Dougbar (cheep skate) until you have to turn the boat right. Now you would now be going through the elephant graveyard and after that you would be at crab bar. Just above Dougbar I've seen guys go behind an island rather than hugging the bank. Just wondered if you tried it. Cheep skate refers to the area above Dougbar where people fish who don't buy the Dougbar key, hence cheep skate hole.

is douglas bar the gravel bar at the far north end of the thomas eddy/heirman park area or the gravel bar on the east side of the river just downstream? what wonderful name do you have for the teepee location? lol

elephant graveyard, ok, I have heard that called the donkey hole. Pretty challenging bit of snags. I go that way if I'm heading further upriver to first and second rocks. I wasn't even aware of the alternate route until recently.
Hepker - to many gravel bars, LOL. Douglas bar is on the north side of the river, west of Thomas Eddy (I believe). Teepee is teepee. Which is no more, blown over in the wind.

I took my boat just beyond Pilchuck on the 6th. Great weather and water conditions. Saw fish on my fish finder in the deep channel so they were going thru. I tried all of the usual lures and bait which worked before. Nada hit in 3 hours. I can't get my boat up to Doug Bar. I have to learn to cure my own eggs cause I'm leaving out a necessary tool.
I've learned I want to buy an aluminum boat good for the sound and the bigger rivers like the Snoho. If anyone has one for sale let me know.
