Launched out of Cady this morning, fishing with Nate Treat. The water was high. Nate gave me a shrug when I said I only had a few hours to fish and wanted to give the Snoho one last shot, hoping to find the last wave of chromers. We fished several spots, and even ran up to the Skykomish in search of slower water. The river wasn't blown out, but definitely not optimal or even close. We saw no rolling fish, and no one with nets out. Maybe 7-8 boats in the system. We fished eggs and pulled some plugs today.

I'm sure higher up there are fish to be had, but time constraints and my bullheadedness did us in this day.

Sad to see the coho season winding down. Time to gear up for some chum action!

This year was fantastic for Silvers. Sorry to say it but I'm half glad the river run is done or nearly so. I was beginning to wish I owned a sled instead of my Seahawk! I cant afford another boat and I don't have anywhere to put it anyway.

It was an amazing salt and freshwater season for us. JoAnn and I did great in the saltwater, and freshwater - I've never had such good success PLUS learned some new techniques and spots. Prior to this I had always considered silvers to be tough to catch in freshwater, but this year, not so much. I have plenty of fish to share with my family/relatives and trade for beef and coffee so I am good till spring!

It wasn't great from Sultan to Monroe. Tough fishing
