First off, thank you veterans, active duty soldiers and all who have serve this wonderful country we call America; we have clean water, hot showers, grocery stores to go to. Angling is such a wonderful sport that, one that for the most part (apart from meth heads and bears) we can enjoy without getting blown to bits or being accosted each time we retreat to the river.

Today was a treat, having the privilege of guiding such a genuine individual and skilled angler, Wayne. Through his immaculate line mends, determination and picture perfect casts, two SR's and a beautiful Coho volunteered for his freezer today.

We fished the upper reaches of the Skykomish, targeted pockets, riffles, and tail outs, all of which seemed to produce fish today.

Thank you Wayne for serving our country, and for teaching the clinic this morning on "solid hook sets." Bravo.

I think Steelhead/Salmon are Awesome!......I think any place that you find them are too... Sure. those too spots hold a lot of fish but they also have a lot of competition....When it is early November, that might be a good move to fish there. I will usually fish 2 or 3 spots down in the lower river first but if no luck. I will fish there to possibly save the day....Nice Job Ryan,....By the way, I think I met you up there. I'm the old guy throwing flies
