Man can you say excellent fishing. There was a combat zone and found zero was the Whatcom Creek wall. At any given time there were 50 people;e on that wall. Every minute there was someone catching a fish. Tons of chum in there and seal's chasing them thru the water. Caught this nice 22 lb buck. First chum ever. Heard from some that smoking chum isn't half bad and others said they wouldn't feed to their dogs. Well I tried it and the chum actually turned out ok. Here is a pic of my second attempt of smoking Salmon. The bottom row is a Coho caught out at shipwreck. Tight line...

Yea its pretty decent smoked. I tried the jerky I made with a buddy if mine and that turned out awesome. Right texture, a little salty, a bit salmony. Overall not too bad. But the Coho I smoke up was excellent. Brine in a brown soar, kosher salt and cracked black pepper mix. Then basted with a apricot jam before being done....num,num,num

That one is a bit far gone, but if you can get them chrome or lightly striped they are actually quite good in the smoker.
