Before heading out of town for the Thanksgiving holiday I had a little time this morning, so decided I was going to go cross a Chum off my list as I've yet to hook one of these reportedly great fighters. I figured I'd be all but guaranteed a Chum at Metzler, even if it was a boot. I had a little over an hour to fish, so got down to the river at 9am. Wasn't too crowded, beautiful morning, I had my gear ready... I was set. Fished for an hour and 20 minutes. Tried about four jig color combos with and without prawn. Of the eight or so guys on the bank and a drift boat up above, saw four caught. Had my bobber go down once, but just briefly. Unfortunately I didn't cross the Chum off my list. Beautiful morning, but couldn't close the deal.
