Hit the sky at 7am Saturday morning. Got to the hole about 7:10am. It was dead, no fish and me and my dad were the only 2 out there. Started fishing jigs under float and within the first hour we both caught and release a chum each. After that nothing. Saw a boat anchor up across from us and within 2 casts the guy had a fish on. Steelhead. So I go to the box and throw on a pink worm under my float and start fishing the faster moving water. I'd say 5 casts with the worm it's float down and fish on. At first I thought it was just another chum considering that's all we have been able to hook into the last 5 weeks. I see the top of my float and a flash of chrome. My first steelhead. I brought it in, took pictures and let it continue it's journey. After that I had one more hook up but it got loose before I could get a good look at it.

I was really excited considering this is my first steelhead I've ever caught in my life. I was amazed at how beautiful these fish actually are. Excited for the season to really start picking up.
