I was going to head out to the Skokomish on Sunday morning but ate something bad Saturday and it completely messed me up. So hoping that since it was windy, it would blow most of the rain clouds away. Had Monday off. paying close attention to the river gauge. at 4 am the river was at 13.60ft. anything under 14 ft is crossable at the area we're fishing. My prayers were answered, called up my cousin and losaturn and we headed out. The forecast said there was going to be snow. Would've of loved to fish in the snow, instead we got a blue sky but chili morning. started fishing around 7:30. Seen a quite a bit of fish roll in the area that we were fishing. The chums are still in there pretty heavy and they're pretty decent looking. I was able to hook em every 5th cast or so. all my fish were released, my cousin and losaturn ended keeping 3 hens all together. 2 were still dime bright. left the river around 10. And best of all we had the entire river to ourselves. we only seen two other guys heading down as we were leaving, got them in the right direction and hopefully they ended up with some fish. With the season open until the 15th of December and clear skies for the majority of the week; get out there and get some!
