I only had an hour or two to fish today, so I figured I would make the best if it and fish for some chum. I knew the river was still running a little high, so I decided to find some slower water.I had hope that high water had brought in some fresh fish . My first cast resulted in a missed hook up so I recast and instantly had a nice 12in cutthroat which I released. I ended up catching a few more cutties before it went dead. Twenty min later my bobber goes down and I set the hook and wouldn't you know its a steelhead flashing in the water. The fish really didn't put up much of a fight, probably because it was too cold and lethargic, so I snapped a few pics and sent it on his way. I only fished for another fifteen min after catching the steelhead then called it a day. I fully expected to only catch some chum today out of this hole, but was pleasantly surprised on what I caught.
