Starting Time: 7:00 AM
Location: Wallace River
Method of Persuasion: Egg
Setup: Okuma Celilo 9'6" 4-8lb Rod, Shimano Sahara 2500 Reel, 15 lb P-Line Hydrofloat.

Another breath taking morning; the sky was on fire. It was nice taking a good week off from fishing, and also to take a personal day to try out the new GoPro3 (bought it off some chick at the Navy holiday party for $100!).

Tenth cast out this morning produced a cookie-cutter, 5 lb hatchery buck. I must say, the colder the water gets, the less fight these winter fish have in them; I reckon the acrobatic, summer steelhead spoiled me rotten :)
Thus it was relinquished back to the icy depths. Now, it's your turn.

I decided to scout down river and fish a few different spots, to feel out where a few more winters might be sitting in this low and CLEAR water. Hooked and landed a few Coho, called it a day around 10 AM.

LiveAsYouWill, it is a GoPro3 Black Edition.

Steelhead6438, I appreciate your kind words; thank you. Just let me know when you're ready to see some bent graphite,, and we'll put you on some winter chrome. Tight lines!

Cedar was looking pretty grim... In low water on the Wallace, I have the propensity to hit the middle sections of the river, as they are deeper.
But, we all know how it goes.

Watch, you'll whack one in a foot deep riffle when you head out on Saturday (:

Nice job again Ryan, yeah there is always exceptions to the rule but in general the winters tend to be more conservative with their energy when hooked than the summers.

It would be cool to see a coho this time of year... Did you capture any photos of them?

Thanks'
