Decided this morning to hit the wallace in hope for some cutthroats. Got to the bridge in startup around 11:30 an started off floating a nightcraweler. Nothing. A hour past an saw a guy catching some rainbows by drifting along the bottom so I gave that a shot. Put on a slinky weight with a worm an set a drift, than first cast...BAM a nice 13 inch cutthroat. Than a couple cast later, caught a 12 inch rainbow. Bites Slowed down quite a bit. Around 2:00 finally started to get bites again an caught 4 white fish in about 15 min. Than it slowed down again. Around 3:30 bites picked up a lot, I was getting hits every cast. Around 5:00 decided to call it day an on last cast caught a 12 inch cutthoat. Ended the day with 2 dollys each around 14 inches, 10 rainbows around 11-13 inches, 3 cutthoats 11-13 inches an 4 whitefish 10-14 inches. All c&r. I know the trout in this river is a touchy subject with people so please keep your negative comments to yourself cause all fish were released an kept in the water with no harm. But it was a good day:)
