Well, we drifted 7400 to White Bridge and had another hard fishing, but rewarding day. The fishing isn't easy, but when you are given these conditions and you still catch fish, it's very satisfying. The water has been yo-yoing around quite a bit, which has these fish in a no-bite funk, but they are there.
Bait of the day was sand shrimp, boondogged under the sticks in the flats. With the latest high water, sticks and stumps have been moved around a bit. There are bright fish in there, which means that the last two weeks of the season are going to be a good bet for fish.
The nooch closes at the end of the month, and I expect it to fish reliably until the end of the season. I have some dates open to drift and would love to get you in on this fishery before it's over. Two weeks anf then I'll be running Cowlitz trips and bank lessons on the Skookumchuck. Remember, in like a lion, out like a lamb! The weather is getting better, and there's nothing like fishing on a balmy March afternoon.
