Beautiful day, a little hotter than this old body is used to. On the water at 8:00 am and only one other boat trailer in the parking lot. Local ski boats out but maintaining good distance from fishermen. Found fish is shallow water canals. Only small papa bass looking after the younguns. Used spinner bait to mimmic predators. Cast into shadow of docks and papa bass would come out to kill it but would not eat it. With polarized sun glasses you can see all this happening which is cool.
By noon the boat traffic was picking up and when we came around the end of Tapps Island and saw the park we realized we should have left an hour ago. The sheriff's department was there in force and checking boats so everyone was behaving themselves. We're not going back till after the holiday weekend because it is a zoo there now.
