I'm having too much fun guys. Fishing has been great. Springers are picking up, but steelhead are where it's at. Man it's been so much fun.

A couple of days in the last week we've had double digit hookups. Sometimes they don't make it to the boat, but when you're touching that many fish, it's hard to complain. Night and day to Puget Sound rivers. Counts at the dam are showing a growing number of springers, but don't let the low number fool you. They're in there in the lower river, they just need to see the right bait.

The guys at Barrier have been having more luck, free drifting eggs and soaking bait near the boat ramp. On the bank, the flats have been putting out more fish than the past few weeks, which opens up a bit more water at Blue Creek. Try your luck with a red and black 1/16th oz. jig, squirt a little anise on it and let it float. These fish are biters! Not te mention that witht he sun the other day, I caught my first sunburn of the season. I think that the weather mistook April for July!

I'm headed out for clams and Easter this morning, but I'll be back at it in the week. I have a few dates here and there, I'd hate to see you miss out.
