got to the river at 6:30am. Glad to see the rain! 6-8 guys on the highway side and 13 or so on the hatchery side. The water was at 7.56 feet and 5660cfs.a little faster than I like but good color and looked very fishy indeed.tried float and jigs. tried orange/white then peach then nightmare before switching to a Mad river worm red/black. I started downstream almost to the rapids and slowly worked my way back up.Again, the water looked like it could be bobber down anytime. But not for me today. Fished until 10:30am and called it a day. saw one caught on the highway side and one caught on the hatchery side. It's only going to get better with this little freshet of rain. The fishermen I chatted with were all really cool. I Rated it a one because no fish caught, but just being out there is 5 for me. As a lot of you can relate, time spent fishing in Washington is time well spent.Bringing something home (when it happens) is the frosting on the cake! Tight lines, be safe, and pick up your garbage :)
