My success was short lived. Sunday morning headed to the same spot as Saturday with nothing interesting at all happening. One bright chrome silver jumped about halfway across the river in mid current, but nobody hooked up. Other than pecks from a couple smallish trout, nothing was biting any of the 10 plus anglers lined up in waders. They were drift fishing, I couldn't tell what, possibly spoons. In addition to jigging, I tried a corky with a five foot leader and still produced nothing. To emphasize how dead the river was, a passing boat angler asked if we'd caught anything, to which our answer was of course no. He told us that there was a couple dozen boats fishing downriver some who had caught nothing, and that this spot was the only one producing. And since it wasn't producing, well, everyone including myself left. A harbor seal popped up around 9 as well, but had no luck either.
At least the weather was nice, and I retained all of my gear.
