Hoped yesterday's success could be repeated. Hit the river at o'dark thirty with a friend throwing bait. Slow start to the day with nothing going on. After an hour and a half we finally saw a little action, but it was short lived. About three hours in I finally hook and land a healthy hen. Another hour goes by and my buddy hooks a good sized buck. I finished out the day an hour later with another hen and that's when things died off. Six hours of fishing and three fish. Not great, but at least we saw some action.

Nice chromers! You did better than the majority of the anglers I saw.

Nice fish! And thanks for the idea to use a gallon jug filled with water as ice for the cooler! Will save me a few bucks.

Thanks! @mizmo….yes, the milk jug ice block is great. I just wash it with the cooler and throw it back in the freezer when I get home. Really saves money and time since I don't have to stop for ice anywhere and I always have it on hand. Those jugs last a long time too. Have been using that same one for a year now I think. Simple and effective.

nice fish. Plastic water bottles filled with water, then frozen, also works good if you want smaller pieces rather than a big jug of frozen ice.

We did very good near community hole. Three people six adults and a bunch of jacks.
