Our church had it's Memorial Day picnic at Deep Lake again this year and here are the catch details. I caught two trout in the 13" catagory using just worms and a couple other guys caught several Kokes using flashers & worms. We were fortunate to see many large bass spawning near the shores which was a real turn on for the youth we took out. It gave us a good time to teach them about nature. A few perch were caught as well as a couple small bass. Those who used Gulp this year didn't do as well as last year. Worms seemed to be the bait that worked. The park wasn't as busy as last year either, I guess it was the clouds, but it never rained. Mark, the park ranger, made his rounds on his bike to check licenses. It was a good day all around.
