Fished below Snohomish on the flat bank off of Lowell - River Road for a couple hours.
Used mainly jigs and vibrax.
About 5:30ish caught a beautiful chrome hen between 7-9lbs.
Had a huge school go by, not many were rolling, but had two bites directly after landing the fish, but were inconclusive. Fish continued rising until and after I left, around 6:30.
Jigs jigs jigs! that was the ticket today. The fish were extremely lure shy and they would often only peck the jigs. The one that did get hooked and landed picked up my jig like a ninja. I barely even felt it.
The fish were jumping close to shore, probably about 30-50 feet out. My fish hit at around 30 feet from me.
Giving this report a 4 because of the amount of good stories I've heard recently in the Snohomish. Couple of guys doing really well around 522 bridge, and several have caught fish below Snohomish in the past week. Some days they're in, and sometimes they're not, but I've definitely seen an increased amount in the past few days and heard many more stories of success.
It's getting to be that time of year again!
