Since it is my birthday today I had hoped to take off a couple hours from work in the AM to go play with the Coho. Well, that didn't work out, but figured I'd take advantage of what little time I did have....which turned out to be 30 minutes by the time I fought traffic getting down to the river. Tide was going out when I got there and the water was a little higher than I'd have preferred, but beggars can't be choosers. Saw another forum member, so went over to say hi to him. He said hadn't been there long either. A few people fishing around, but didn't appear to be much going on. I found a small slot and limbered up my rod. About the fourth or fifth cast into the current with my trusty jig and it was fish on! A chrome bright hen about 6 lbs. She fought well and gave up a good fight. After I got her marked the next 20 minutes were quiet until I had to jet. Apparently someone told that fish it was my birthday. :)
