Went out near the Boeing hole yesterday right after work. Conditions were less than ideal and figured as much as we pulled up and saw literally no one at the bridge spots. High tide was incomming and this spot was almost blown out completely but decided to give it a go towards the furthest point away from the bridge and worked some water as I fished back towards the bridge. Saw maybe 6-8 fish rolling (a couple big ones too) until it got dark where we packed up and headed out empty handed. I'm using an Abu baitcaster, 9' shakespeare rod, with some 20lb PowerPro hi-vis braid and top shotting most of my offerings with some 10lb fluorocarbon leaders.

Started out due to lack of good current casting and retrieving some spinners in chartreuse and another one in black w/ some orange spots (sz 2/3). Nothing doing and wasn't getting any luck at all. Moved on after about 30 minutes of casting a couple types of spinners to twitching some homemade marabou lead-head jigs in 1/4oz with some pinks and reds. Got quite a few baitfish chasing as I was bouncing it back to the bank but nothing really interested. Thought I had maybe one bite or nibble at one point but still getting used to the sensitivity required with jigging and feeling any play from a fish.

Moved on, lasty, to using some corkies and yarn with added Ray's Eggs with maybe a 1/4 oz pencil lead. Using some fluoro leaders at about 24"-30" lead lengths. After 3 or 4 casts or so I got one nibble that I couldn't tell if it was a decent fish interested in the offering or the ton of little bait fish chasing & stealing the eggs as I bounced it back.

All in the all been on the Duwy 4 times and have gotten skunked each time. Fishing high tide at this almost blown out hole was/is probably a huge part of my problem I'm sure but I'm impatient and needed to get a line wet. Tried low tide once but also wasn't getting anything solid. Hopefully, for us unskillfull rookies like me, with some more rains and cooler temp's we'll see more fish head up to make it a bit easier to land these chromies.

As most would end with, tight lines all.
