Just a quick report for the last couple of weeks, the most recent being on Tuesday. The river is very low and clear, but the weather has been great and the scenery on the Wynoochee is pretty great as well.
Been getting a fish here and there, but all have been nates so no pics (I fish alone usually and don't seem to have the dexterity to work a rod, net, and phone at the same time. If I see a fin, I just wade out and pull the hook out without having to pull the fish out of the water or onto the rocks).
Tuesday was the best day, went 3/3, all 6-7lb nates, 2 bucks and 1 hen. They were still pretty big so hadn't spawned yet, but were getting a little rosy this time of year.
Hope to get a few more days in before the river closes. Then will probably hit the Skook a time or two before calling it a season on steelhead (I've yet to pull a fish out of the skook...don't know why, just dont seem to have the mojo on that river...).
