After getting my first summer of the year after work June 1, I figured I would try again and do a quick trip in the evening today. The water seemed much more clear. There was a few guys around the hatchery outlet, and a good school of fish hanging out in the boulders. It was fun to watch them, but it didnt matter what you used. They were lock jawed and spooked from all the pressure and guys standing right above them. Saw one fish caught in 3 hours. from about 4:30-7:30pm. Not worth the time to go up there unless its first thing in the morning, or the river rises which doesnt look likely. Unless of course you like watching yoru jig hit a steelhead in the face and just have it move a little to let it pass by.
