Got to the Meridian bridge first and saw 10+ other guys there, though none of them got any thing. The water was muddy with almost no visibility and strong current, probably the result from the previous day's heavy rain. Changed location after finding out there's no fish at that spot; I drove past the bridge to the roundabout and into River Rd using 2nd exit. Got a nice bar 3m driving in, had to cross through a bit of trees. There are 3 other guys, with the same blessing of luck like the 10+ guys at the other spot. Current still strong.
Couldn't catch anything. Though heard a lot of fish jumping while I'm not paying attention. Actually saw some of them jump quite close to shore, too. Can't figure out why they're not biting, and they are probably not even fish (saw something blackish ran into the water from the bar and made the same impression as fish jumping).
Anyway maybe I'll try looking for a slow current spot some other day, see what I might hook onto.

Thanks for the report! The closer you get to ferndale the slower the current will get. I will be heading to the nooksack today hopefully there will be more action the water looks a bit clearer now.
