Arrived around 12:30pm, left around 6:30pm. Saw tons of salmon jumping the entire day. We tried the whole arsenal but didn't get a thing... Buddy of mine got a short hookup using a jig but that's it. Used Dicknites, jigs, buzzbombs, spoons, everything, but still nothing was biting. We must have just missed the bite from the morning and didn't stay long enough to hit the afternoon bite. I'm actually amazed people have caught so many of them out of the rivers already. I've only caught two out of the sound( you don't want to know how many hours I fished for those 2), not sure what I'm doing wrong lol. Would appreciate tips or suggestions for dicknites as I am totally new to fishing with those.

Well with pinks that are schooled up in slow moving water I usually cast and slowly retrieve by adding about 1/4 to 3/8 oz swivel weight or split shots. To a 3-4 ft flourocarbon leader 10lb to the lure. In faster water I drift them just like corkys but with a really slow retrieve just to real in any slack that in forming and will retrieve a bit faster after the lure begins to turn towards shore

Thanks for the tips!! I went back out there yesterday afternoon and really focused on a super slow retrieve, and the moment it felt like it was at the right speed WHAM massive hen!! Looks like I just need to get a lot of practice in!
