Another awesome day on the river. We got caught in a couple of serious showers, but that made for some spectacular photography! Great rainbows!
Back to fishing - we put in about 2pm and motored down past Farmer's Riffle and anchored up. It was pretty quiet until the tide change, then it was fish on and schools of them rolling through.
My buddy Bob caught a couple of bigger/darker bucks that I urged him to release, but he'd never caught a salmon before so he wanted to keep them. He caught both on a chartreuse vibrax - he just couldn't get the hang of jigging with a marabou (which is what I caught all my fish on).
I let my first 2 bucks go - big & dark. Also not much fight in the larger/older fish. I hooked a couple of bright ones and the fight was awesome. The one I took that was darker and pale meat was one I injured in the gill when I getting the hook out, so he was a goner anyhow.

I got my limit & Bob got 2. The wait to get out at Cady park totally sucks, I got home almost 10pm and didn't finish cleaning/wrapping/freezing the fish until almost midnight! :(
Ready to hit it again!

No difference in how much they were hitting. The bite was on and for a while there it was like almost every cast. They were rolling all around our boat.
